چکیده
Abstract The Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) Spectroscopic Survey in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field (ASPECS) Band 6 scan (212–272 GHz) covers potential [C ii ] emission galaxies at ? z 8 throughout a 2.9 arcmin 2 area. By selecting on known Ly ? emitters (LAEs) and photometric dropout field, we perform targeted searches down to 5 ? luminosity depth L II ? 2.0 × 10 ? , corresponding roughly star formation rates (SFRs) of 10–20 M yr ?1 when applying locally calibrated conversion for star-forming galaxies, yielding zero detections. While majority this sample are characterized by lower SFRs, resulting upper limits these sources consistent with current literature ALMA observations = 6–7 LAEs Lyman-break (LBGs), as well relations between SFR—with exception single ]-deficient, UV-luminous LBG. We also blind search ]-bright that may have been missed optical selections, an limit cumulative number density > (5 ) be less than 1.8 ?4 Mpc ?3 (90% confidence level). At volume coverage, present observed evolution function from 6–8 0 comparing ASPECS measurement results redshift.

The GLARE Survey II . Faint z ≈ 6 Ly - α Line Emitters in the HUDF
The galaxy population at z ≈ 6 has been the subject of intense study in recent years, culminating in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field (HUDF) – the deepest imaging survey yet. A large number of high redshift galaxy candidates have been identified within the HUDF, but until now analysis of their properties has been hampered by the difficulty of obtaining spectroscopic redshifts for these faint galaxie...
متن کاملthe search for the self in becketts theatre: waiting for godot and endgame
this thesis is based upon the works of samuel beckett. one of the greatest writers of contemporary literature. here, i have tried to focus on one of the main themes in becketts works: the search for the real "me" or the real self, which is not only a problem to be solved for beckett man but also for each of us. i have tried to show becketts techniques in approaching this unattainable goal, base...
15 صفحه اولA SEARCH FOR LYMAN BREAK GALAXIES AT z > 8 IN THE NICMOS PARALLEL IMAGING SURVEY
We have selected 14 J-dropout Lyman Break Galaxy (LBG) candidates with J110 − H160 ≥ 2.5 from the NICMOS Parallel Imaging Survey. This survey consists of 135 square arcminutes of imaging in 228 independent sight lines, reaching average 5σ sensitivities of J110 = 25.8 and H160 = 25.6 (AB). Distinguishing these candidates from dust reddened star forming galaxies at z ∼ 2 − 3 is difficult, and wil...
